What I did on my summer vacation – Visiting family on Cape Cod

Charlie and I just got back from our vacation. The weather was perfect – clear sunny and not terribly hot. My Aunt, Uncle and cousins pampered us and we had many long beach days. As a bonus, my parents were also visiting and I got to have some quality time with them. It was so relaxing. I was in great need of unplugging and getting away. The absolute best part was spending time with family. It was such a treat to do early morning 4 mile walks with my cousins.

Each morning we had a delicious breakfast outside overlooking the water. My Uncle Bill makes the best banana bread. Honestly, before having Uncle Bill’s I thought banana bread was ‘just OK’. Uncle Bill’s banana bread is so moist and the flavor is deep and delicious. Good news is Uncle Bill gave me his recipe and I will be sharing it with you soon! (Soon because I have made it twice but it was all eaten before I could take a picture of the finished loaf!)

We spent a full week on Cape Cod with my Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Bill and stopped in to see my cousins in Swampscott for tea before flying home. It was a great reminder of the happiness of spending time with people you love. I laughed, I relaxed, and I felt very loved. Take some time to spend with the people you love.

My favorite guy by the water in Provincetown. Charlie, Mum, my Cousin Noreen and I had a great day walking through the shops and visiting the National Seashore.
