A new chapter for us!

A new chapter for us!

It has been a little more than a year since my last post! So much has happened in that time that it is not so crazy that a year passed between posts. In no particular order, we sold our home in Auburn which involved a three month stint in a furnished apartment, we traveled to Ireland for my Aunt Mary Lou’s 80th birthday, Charlie was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church, I retired from Auburn University, we bought a new house and moved, Charlie began working at St.Patrick’s, and I started a new part-time job that allows me to work from home. It was A LOT of change for us after 22 years in Auburn. As scary as it was, we are so happy to be by the coast again. I am glad to have most things unpacked and have my sewing room up and going again. I made a few outfits while we were in transition, but it was not the most efficient sewing I have ever done!

In the past two weeks I have sewn more than I have sewn in the past 6 months! I am not totally settled, but the sewing room is really shaping up. I will be sharing some more on that later. Here is a sneak peek at the peg board I built with my father.

I made this with help and direction from my father. It was a lot of fun working on a project with Daddy. He had the tools and the know-how to make this practical storage solution.
